Baby shower

I got to throw a great friend of mine a baby shower! There was no "theme" it was a couples shower, so I didn't want to make it too girly. This was also my first attempt at a baby shower...and the only other one I've been to is my own...so I gave it a go. I have to say I'm pretty happy with how the diaper cake turned out....but my attempt at decorating the actual cake, not so much. I think it was a crafting failure...but I gave it a try and I'm proud of myself for that! :) Here's a look:

    Oh I think they are both cute! However, I'll agree that it's pretty hard to decorate a cake. In my head I always think it's going to be so easy. PLUS, it's always SUCH a mess!
